Wake Up: Critical Race Theory & Salvation

For CRT, regeneration consists of a person becoming “woke.” That is, to become aware of things previously taken for granted, things perhaps you were not even fully aware of, things such as privilege, power, and prejudice intrinsic in you and in your culture.

Wake Up: Critical Race Theory & Sin

CRT is not about justice, but vengeance; not about establishing unity, but sowing division; not about forgiveness, but retribution; not about impartiality, but inconsistent standards; not about peace, but strife; not about love, but hate; not about grace, but race; not about sin, but skin.

No Justice, No Peace?

In a world marred by sin, injustice remains prevalent, and justice will never be perfectly executed. How then are we to respond to injustice? How then can we have peace? Read more…

How Did We Get Here: You Shall Not Take the Name of the Lord Your God In Vain

The teaching is that the only stipulation of being a Christian is to say a prayer, walk an aisle, or invite Jesus into your heart, with little or no talk about true transformation, dying to sin, or living in holiness, and thus, the significance of the name “Christian” is severely diminished. The result is a generation of nominal Christians who have no concern for imitating Christ, obeying Christ, or walking in a manner worthy of the name. And this is a “Christianity” which cannot hope to impact the world.

How Did We Get Here: You Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me

What has been propagated by many Christians in recent years is a sort of “American Dream Christianity.” The purpose is to pursue and attain whatever is desired in this life—relationships, jobs, wealth, health, comfort—with religion, church, and God fitting neatly into their respective places. God becomes a component of one’s life, but never the whole of it.

Abortion Legislation: A Contrast of Good vs. Evil

What is staring us in the face is the complete reversal of good and evil. Think about it: protecting the lives of babies is slandered as being archaic and evil—while killing babies is good. Killing babies is good. That is exactly what the culture is screaming, loudly and clearly, for all to hear.

Resurrection

The Sinfulness of Sin: The Answer

Resurrection

It was not possible for Christ to be held by death (Acts 2:24)—he was resurrected! For us, that is everything! It means that God’s justice and wrath against us is satisfied. It means that Christ’s work is finished. It means that the results of sin—death—is defeated and that total forgiveness and absolvement is available to any who would put their faith, not in their own ability to obey, but in what Jesus has accomplished in our place. Sinful Nature

The Sinfulness of Sin: Sinners By Nature

Sinful Nature

Why? Why are all of us sinners? Why, are we, who are made in God’s Image, universally rebellious against Him?

5 Solas

The 5 Solas: Solo Christo

5 Solas
We believe, because the Bible teaches, that salvation is by grace alone through Christ alone. Our sin is against God. The only way to be reconciled to him is through him, and that’s why Jesus came. The Word became flesh.

The 5 Solas: Sola Gratia

“By grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” –Ephesians 2:8-9
