It’s Worth It
Preaching the true gospel will be met with negative response, and we are called to pay the price of preaching boldly. However, Paul reassured the Christian that anything we endure in this life is dwarfed by the reward promised to God’s people. It is worth it to live faithfully.

    Jars of Clay (Pt. 2)
We, fallen and redeemed sinners, have been given to incredible privilege to preach the message of life, and we must do so. We are called to humble living, and a life of suffering or even death in order that others may live by the gospel. And God has promised ultimate victory in this mission.

    Jars of Clay (Pt. 1)
As faithful Christians, we must not put up with anything that is false or deceitful, but rather, we owe the world a bold, faithful, and full proclamation of the gospel, which God has prepared us for.

    Law and Gospel
In 2 Corinthians 3, Paul makes a distinction between the Old Covenant and New Covenant, between the law and gospel. What is made clear is that the law cannot save anybody and was never intended to save anybody. All the law can do is point to our failure to keep it and earn is condemnation; it’s only because Jesus kept the whole law and was punished in our place that we can be made right before God. The law and the gospel are both necessary for our salvation.

    Letters of Redemption
Authentic, Christ-centered ministry is epitomized in Paul’s work - and yet, he was still slandered and doubted. Paul pursues the Christians in Corinth, not by boasting of himself, but by appealing to their own lives. The transformation by the Holy Spirit in these individuals validated Paul’s ministry - and so it is for all ministers of God’s Word.

    Mere Peddlers
It is a privilege and an honor to minister in the name of Christ. No person, in themself, is sufficient to preach the Word of God, so we must do so with great fear and humility. However, there are always false teachers we need to be aware of who seek to use the gospel to exalt themselves and deceive others.

We Are The Aroma Of Christ
The first part of our summer series “Faithful.” Christ Jesus has won victory for every single Christian, and He continues His mercy by using us to do His work in the world. Because of Christ’s faithfulness, we are now acceptable and pleasing before the Father, and all the world ought to see that - whether they embrace the gospel or continue to reject it.

    Confronting Unbelief With The Truth
In John’s gospel, Jesus time and again reveals the ugly reality of the Pharisees’ false religion. His response is always to plainly tell the truth, as well as offer hope. And no matter how much people may reject or revile us, we must do the same.

God of Life, Culture of Death
    Series: (All)
As our culture continues along its course of rejection and hatred of God, it is becoming more and more apparent that we are a culture in love with death. As Christians, we must confront this culture on every front, especially in preaching the gospel of life, which transforms hearts.

    Yes, You Can Know
Every Christian struggles at times with assurance; in John 8, Jesus teaches us that we can be certain of our salvation. We are called to abide in Christ, to be absolutely anchored in him alone. When we do this, we are freed from the enslavement and guilt of sin. So we must examine ourselves; do we manifest the obedience, repentance, and freedom that accompany abiding in Christ.

    The Light of the World
By declaring himself to be the light of the world, Jesus makes an exclusive claim as the way of salvation. The true light exposes the sinful heart, and so man often twists Christianity into a false religion. However, anything apart from Christ is darkness,  no matter how it may appear.

    Living Waters
At the end of Jesus’ time at the Feast of Booths in John 7, he makes it clear that the feast, and everything it pointed to, were fulfilled in him. He shows himself to be the only source of true life, deliverance, and salvation, and the call to all people is to trust in him alone.

    You Know Me??
As we continue to press on through the Gospel of John, Jesus more and more deeply reveals the unbelief of the people. He showed who he was plainly, leaving people without excuse, and yet they did not truly believe in him. And Jesus warns them of the consequence of unbelief: they will not be able to go to where he is.

    Establishing Authority, Exposing Sin
As we continue our series through John, we see Jesus again and again establishing his authority, not by man or by other teachers, but by who he is - the Son of God. His teachings are perfect, originating from Heaven itself. And he doesn’t stop with simply establishing his authority, but he exposes the sinful hearts of the false teachers. We are called to discern every teaching according to its consistency with God’s Word.

    Christ’s Resurrection
Usually, the most essential teachings of Christianity are the most difficult to grasp, and the bodily resurrection of Jesus is no exception. However, the resurrection is true, historical, and something that every person must wrestle with. Jesus’ being raised from the dead proves everything he taught to be true, it defeats sin and its consequences, and guarantees the bodily resurrection of every person. As Christians, we must proclaim this glorious reality.
