What Shall We Say?
Every person is either under the reign of sin or under the reign of grace.  Under the reign of sin, a person is enslaved to sin, and they still serve it.  However, under the reign of grace, a person is dead to sin, alive in Christ, and free to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Jeremiah 17:5-10, Romans 6:1-2

    Wrong Responses To Grace
One of the most dangerously sinful responses to free grace is legalism. Legalism focuses on performance and appearance, emphasizing external conformity over true heart change and the actual fruit of repentance and obedience. Scripture: Hosea 14:1-7, Romans 5:20-6:2 Sunday, February 19th, 2023 www.redeemerchurchofsouthhills.org

    In Christ
People are either guilty in Adam or righteous in Christ. Because Jesus perfectly obeyed the law, salvation through Him is a free gift that provides us justification and the guarantee of eternal, glorified life. Scripture: Isaiah 1:18-20, Romans 5:12-21

    In Adam
Sin entered the world through one man, Adam. Death, through sin, entered and spread to all men because of Adam's transgression. All humankind falls short of God's glory and stands sinfully guilty before Him.

    Only Two Kinds of People
God deals with His people by covenant, and in Romans 5, Paul lays out the two possible covenant relationships men have with God: death in Adam or life in Christ.
    Scripture: Genesis 4:1-16, Romans 5:12-21

    God’s Amazing Love
God's love is made manifest distinctly through the objects of his love (his elect) by the price paid for their salvation and through the assurance given to those who have been ransomed by Christ's blood.

    Scripture: Romans 5:6-11

    Baptism
The ordinance of Baptism is the sign of being in the New Covenant of Christ and therefore having been crucified with Him and raised with Him. This calls us to live out our Baptism as those who have been made new creatures.

    What Christmas Is Truly About
Sin separates man from God. Jesus Christ, the High King of Heaven, came to earth to reconcile sinners to God. Reconciliation begins with the incarnation. This week's sermon explains how the perfectly righteous Jesus Christ lovingly condescended to save perfectly sinful man from God's wrath.

    Having Been Justified (Part 3)
Suffering is not something that must be avoided at all costs but rather has vital benefits to Christians. Therefore, we must prepare for suffering and be ready to imitate Christ in how we handle it.

    Having Been Justified (Part 2)
The Christian attitude during times of persecution should be one of rejoicing. However, Christians must first prepare to suffer persecution for the faith. This week's sermon exhorts believers to prepare for persecution.
